Iyengar certified teachers train for a minimum of three years in the art, science and philosophy of yoga and have had a dedicated practice for a minimum of six years before achieving Level 1.

This rigorous process incorporates a proficiency in asana practice, anatomy and a practical knowledge of teaching that is assessed by the Iyengar Yoga Association of France.

Iyengar Yoga Certified teachers engage in regular upgrading of their practice that incorporates increasing level of competency in asana and teaching skills.  Continues education and self-improvement are both inherent to the culture of Iyengar Yoga.

Camilla continues to practice with her teachers Christian Pisano and June Whittaker-Pisano in Nice. She attends workshops and intensives regularly with Firooza Ali Razvi, Patricia Walden, Abhijata Iyengar and Raya Uma Datta to expand her vision of Yoga.


The methode is recognised for it’s thorough exploration of asanas as they relate to the physical, emotional and psychological aspects of each individual. The instructions are precise and methodical.


According to Patanjali, man’s purpose on earth is to know himself at his deepest level, his very Self. He enumerated the different disciplines that must be mastered in order to reach this goal and named it “The eight-Fold Path”.


The classes are taught by the Iyengar tradition in accordance with Iyengar Yoga teaching standards and as regulated by the Iyengar Yoga association of France, l’AFYI.
